Underwhelming

This is a 3 hour tour - which was not clear upon booking. We were underwhelmed and left before the tour ended.
icon Response from Host , Jul 2022
Aloha Taylor, We are sorry to hear you felt our garden was "underwhelming" and you were unaware of the duration. Unsure of where the disconnect occurred but please accept our apologies. We have attempted to be as clear as possible of all details pertaining to our tour on our website and to repeat those details again on booking confirmation emails. Although you didn't enjoy our tour, we hope the rest of your time in Kauai has been enjoyable and you found the extraordinary beauty abundant here. Mahalo nui loa

Enjoyable walk on beautiful grounds, beware mosquitoes
Arista_C
, Jul 2022
Very good tour which was enjoyable and informative. We walked for about two hours and an hour for chocolate tasting and learning about the chocolate manufacturing process. It did rain and umbrellas were provided as well as walking sticks. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Afterwards we were able to purchase some chocolate and artwork. The only downsides were the many mosquito bites I got while there so make sure you wear repellant. They also have some herbal repellant there.
icon Response from Host , Jul 2022
Mahalo Arista! Sounds like you had an informative tour and enjoyable experience with us overall. Regarding those pesky mosquitoes, they are definitely out and about some days and it sounds like they found you tasty, so sorry to hear about that.

We had a great time touring the gardens. It’s a beautiful place and our guide, Lisa was wonderful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tasting and smelling. When my kids heard the length of the tour, they didn’t want to go, but they liked it and found it very interesting and not long at all.
icon Response from Host , Jun 2022
There's always so much to see, taste and smell, enough to even keep kids interested! Thanks for visiting us and we will let Lisa know how much you enjoyed her tour!

Super
victoria_r

They should really say that you need to wear shoes. Some treacherous paths necessitated shoes m. Also not for people with mobility issues.
icon Response from Host , Jun 2022
Aloha Victoria, Shoes are definitely a good idea and noted in the confirmation emails, thank you for giving folks a heads up! The terrain here in the garden is definitely steep in areas with many steps and not accessible for folks with mobility issues as you note. We appreciate your 5 star review and are thrilled you found the gardens "SUPER". Thanks for sharing.

A pleasant experience.

The garden is beautiful and the food samples along the way definitely added to the experience. There is not“skip the line” as everyone is part of the reserved tour. Our make guide was pleasant but not always scientifically accurate. It is a fair bit of standing/walking.
icon Response from Host , Jun 2022
Aloha Jocelyn, Thank you for sharing your experience with us! Our guides are well trained and versed in the botanicals here, our apologies for any misspeak.
